- Kids can learn better in different ways and as a teacher it is our job to adapt.
- Teaching students by play or by ways where they can really connect with the information is a good way for the kids to have the info stick.
- It is important to hold students to high standards because students will strive to reach whatever expectations are held for them.
- Sports and extracurricular activities has an affect on kids developmentally.
- Kids who do not partake in sports are more likely to lack social skills.
- Clubs and sports typically make kids have a feeling of belonging.

- The way the kids’ parents parent will affect the social and developmental skills the child has.
Some important insights on children and adolescents developmental process is that we as humans do not fully develop until our 20s. Therefore our expectations for our students have to be reasonable for their developmental level. High schoolers should be help to higher standards than a third grader. It is important to know your students and to figure out where they are at developmentally so then you understand why they may act the way they do and how to handle their behaviors.
